At the very heart of this endeavor is an ardent desire to see the world otherwise than we are taught to see it hitherto by the structures of power and authority. This desire is accompanied by a faith which favors love and freedom of life than anything else. The humanity today is standing on a crossroads of sorts. On the hand, there is a crushing onslaught of Nihilism propelled by the various discourses of modernity and technologisation of life and on the other hand, we can choose love, life and freedom. As the world is entering into postmodern and post secular era, the reign of rationality is being challenged more and more.
We believe that the allied forces of imperialism, modernism and colonialism are still functional today. These forces have engulfed the entire globe and they are threatening the diversity of cultures. Diversity itself is their biggest enemy. They see in diversity the seeds of resistance. That’s why they are increasingly homogenizing the entire world. The most striking example of this homogenizing process is the ongoing Americanization of third world cultures. So the way out for humanity today is to resist the homogenization and to celebrate the difference.
Through this initiative, we want to create a group of active thinkers who will be ready to mediate their existences with difference, while simultaneously resisting the spread of monolithic/modern forms of life-style. We think that the land of Punjab is the most suitable place for such an initiative because it is a meeting point of diverse cultural and religious traditions of the world. Everyone who loves this land and wants to create a carvan of culturally diverse people is welcome to take part in this humble effort.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa
Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh!
This blog originates from a really awesome idea I think many are ready to explore. I myself have just started Foucault's The Archaeology of Knowledge in hopes I can bring myself to start the process of deconstructing the modes of thought and reason I conform to. The conditioning of the mind and subsequent conformity and rationalization starts at birth for those living in America. This is something that should be explored along with our how we view ourselves against the constructs of identity formation that has been enforced on the collective psyche which we adhere to religiously, unconsciously and perhaps consciously at times.
